Who Am I?
It's a simple question.
And the older I get, the less interested I am in answering it with labels.
I could tell you what I do.
I could list the things I've studied, the places I've been, or the roles I play in the lives of others.
But none of those things feel like the whole story.
What feels more true is this:
I've simply never stopped wondering.
For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by the world—not because I wanted to master it, but because I wanted to understand it.
I've always been the person who lingers a little longer.
I still lose track of time watching a spider build its web.
I stop for mushrooms growing beside sidewalks.
I'll crouch down to admire tiny wildflowers most people never notice.
I pick up interesting rocks simply because something about them feels special.
I have thousands of photographs of things many people would never think to photograph.
Not because they're rare.
Because they reminded me to pay attention.
I've always believed the smallest things often have the biggest stories.
That same curiosity has led me down countless paths.
Into psychology.
Consciousness.
Philosophy.
Nature.
Creativity.
Art.
Science.
Books that changed the way I think.
Conversations that stayed with me long after they ended.
I've never been interested in choosing just one.
I've always wanted to understand how they all connect.
Over time, I realized they weren't separate interests at all.
They were different ways of exploring the same mystery:
What does it mean to be fully awake to the life we're living?

For a long time, I thought I was searching for answers.
Instead, I found better questions.
And strangely, the deeper those questions became, the more they led me back to ordinary life.
To gardens.
Morning coffee.
Building a home.
Making things with my hands.
Children laughing.
Birdsong before sunrise.
The smell of old books.
A quiet walk.
A conversation that changes the way you see someone.
I realized the extraordinary wasn't waiting somewhere in the distance.
It had been quietly living inside ordinary moments all along.

UN0RD1NARY grew out of that realization.
Not because I wanted to build a business.
But because I wanted to create a place where all the things I loved finally belonged together.
A place where psychology could sit beside pressed flowers.
Where science could live beside symbolism.
Where philosophy could share a table with gardening.
Where thoughtful essays could exist alongside illustrations, field notes, stories, collections, and creative projects.
Because life has never fit neatly into one category.
Neither has curiosity.
Everything belongs.

One of the deepest beliefs I carry is that the work we do within ourselves quietly shapes the world around us.
Every act of kindness.
Every shift in perspective.
Every choice to become a little more present.
Every moment we choose curiosity over certainty.
We rarely see how far those moments travel.
But I believe they do.
Like ripples spreading across still water.
That's why I believe paying attention matters.
Not because noticing a flower changes the flower.
Because it changes us.
And changed people change the world around them.
Often in ways they'll never fully realize.

I'm not here because I have all the answers.
I'm here because I love asking questions.
I'm here because curiosity has given me a richer, more meaningful life, and I wanted to create a place where other curious minds could feel at home.
Not to tell anyone what to believe.
Not to convince anyone how to see the world.
Only to share what I've noticed along the way.
If it encourages someone else to slow down...
To look a little closer...
To wonder a little longer...
Then I think something beautiful has already happened.

Maybe you're the kind of person who notices little things, too.
The one who looks up when the moon is full.
Who turns over leaves just to see what's underneath.
Who keeps feathers tucked inside books.
Who can't walk past an interesting mushroom.
Who asks questions that don't always have answers.
Who has always felt drawn to too many interests to fit neatly inside one box.
If that's you...
Welcome.
I have a feeling you'll feel at home here.
